Wow! Here we are in the second day of our senior year. The Class of 2013 has already started SITES orientations, met supervisors, had the class meeting, filled out paperwork, worked at North Olmsted Homecoming Festival, and met fellow classmates. Mr. and Mrs. Pierce, the founders and first SITES teachers visited us last night at North Olmsted Park. Principal Stanton even joined in the PM class truth and fib exercise!

"If you want to be happy for a lifetime, go out and help others!"

Simple New Website Launched

The SITES Program has launched a new website to replace our wonderful home since 2007. Our new online home is on Google at

From there you can also get to our Twitter presence and Facebook Fan Page as well as looking at the classroom calendar and information about SITES.

Thank you to SITES Alumni Michael Bruckner '08 (Rochester Institute of Technology) and Brandon Wise '11 (Kent State University) for creating our first two high-tech websites.

Being a pebble

When do you know you've made a difference? The honest answer is that we do not always realize the impact we make on other people's lives. Sometimes a personal connection is highly evident and sometimes we discover years later about an impression we made. Either way, it does not matter. Discovering a need, attempting to meet it, and diving into the humanity around it is all the motivation it takes to help someone.

Welcome to the North Olmsted High School SITES Service-Learning blog.

We invite you to jump into the metaphorical pond and create ripples of hope, help, and heart.
